Therapeutic homes in the beautiful rolling landscape of West Wales
Birribi offers therapeutic residential care in West Wales, providing accommodation and support for up to four children/young people in each of our homes. We have dedicated and experienced care teams in each home, to create a secure base. This therapeutic environment functions to rebuild and reform relationships, provide stability and a sense of belonging, from which children may develop social skills, build emotional resilience and progress in their learning and educational attainment. This approach enables Birribi to provide for children who may need therapeutic assistance within our small group home settings.
Between 16 and 19 years of age, the emphasis is on a progressive and positive transition into independent living, reintegration with family or supported/ semi supported adult services specific to their needs
Our registered (ESTYN) independent school compliments the therapeutic environment of the homes. We instill autonomy and confidence by giving every child opportunities to experience success both in the home and at school.
Brynteg therapeutic home
A residential carehome for five children and young people in rural Wales, also home to friendly guinea pigs!
Ty Melyn therapeutic home
A residential home for children and young people. Sometimes the friendly sheep come for a visit from the neighbouring farm!
Brynsiriol and Pencoed therapeutic homes
Pencoed Farm and Brynsiriol are the two Birribi homes located on the care-farm site at either side of the farmyard. The farmyard and barns, with the surrounding paddocks, lanes and woodland, create the spaces for outdoor learning in nature and with the pets and animals on the care-farm.
Birribi works in collaboration with Youthinc CIC, a social enterprise. Together we offer therapeutic care for children & young people.
